Maarten de Haas

Sr. Front End Engineer / (Interactive) Motion Designer

With over 21 years of experience as a professional I am fulltime passionately committed to designing and developing Interactive Maps and Christmas Cards for Websites and Touch Screens for companies.

Previously I've been graphically, creatively and technically responsible for graphics and sport- and game software for many famous television productions in The Netherlands and abroad for more than 13 years. I have programmed a lot of software and made graphics for many well-known live game shows, sports broadcasts and talk shows on live television, such as Een tegen 100, Eredivisie soccer games, Euro Hockey League, Heartbeat, Nieuwsuur, The Next Uri Geller, Singing Bee and The Staatsloterijshow.

After that I also worked some time as a professional full stack / back-end webdeveloper for companies. But I decided years ago to fully specialize on high performance creative front-end development and interactive motion design for interactives and (code-based or video) animations for use on websites and on touch screens.

I know the graphical and technical capabilities in 2D and 3D, as well as the hiccups of different browsers and optimizations in order to get the best possible online performance.

I make sure your project both graphically and technically produces the best results, so you don't need to worry about that.

Besides the Wigglepixel portfolio page on this website I also have a personal and wider, creative portfolio website with more creative work here.

Next to this I love to run, surf on waves, make remixes and, if time allows me, social volunteer, like helping primary school kids to read.
